Groundwater permit meetings have been held by Southwestern Travis County Groundwater Conservation District and the Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District.

The Hays County GCD determined who had party standing to challenge their groundwater permit and then allowed for a 30-day negotiation period. Save the Pedernales, Save Our Springs, Travis County and several individuals were granted party status.

What Can I Do?

Please tell your friends and neighbors about the upcoming wastewater permit for Mirasol Springs - and urge everyone you know to come out, regardless of whether you choose to speak or not. A large crowd will help build momentum to keep clean water flowing in the Pedernales River, Roy Creek Canyon Hamilton Pool and Reimer’s Ranch. Preventing contamination will protect threatened species and Austin drinking water quality!
